For as long as I can remember, I have always had an interest in tattoos. However, it really took off around 2015–2016, when tattoos became more “mainstream”. At the time, I was only 17 years old and got my first tattoo. It was a bit of a coincidence that I became a tattoo artist. Some old colleagues had seen what I was drawing in my spare time. I enjoyed drawing and creating, but had never imagined a career in it.
My old colleagues said: “You should become a tattoo artist.”
I replied something like: “Yeah, maybe.”
Then they said, “Get a tattoo machine and you can try us out. We don’t care.”
So I took the chance. I became one of the so-called “corona tattooists” who bought my own machine and taught myself at home in my apartment. I tattooed myself and my friends/colleagues who were willing to lend me some skin. So my journey began in 2020, at home in my own apartment.
Unfortunately, I haven't opened my own studio yet - maybe in the future. Currently I tattoo at Crooked Moon Art & Studio.
My style is microrealism with a splash of red paint. I like to work on small surfaces with a lot of detail.
I have been using Ratio needles since 2021. They were introduced to me by Jacob Pedersen when I started at Crooked Moon, and I have been using them ever since. I like their precision and grip. They have a wide range of needles that also work great with my Ink Machines Cobra.
Lately I have been using a lot of the new X-Ratio needle 3RL 0.25. I like how well it fits in the machine and how good the ink flow is. I use the 3RL for thin lines and small details. Another favorite is the 7 Soft-Edge MAG, which is great for smooth shadows and for packing solid black.
