My passion for tattooing started almost as a child when I often entertained myself by drawing on my brother's arms with ink. I graduated in science/technology and probably knew all along that this wasn't really my path in life and basically went straight after graduating in 2001 and asked about an apprenticeship with Noby who then owned Tattoo Zone on Folkungagatan in Stockholm. He took me in and I had an extremely educational time in my career there that I am still grateful for!

I opened my studio Bluebird in Västerås in 2004 and this is where I am still, even though we have moved the studio to another location in town, right by the canal in the center. Today I run it as a collective and we who work here share the bills brotherly and have exactly the same amount to say and think about. We are a family and it is the best atmosphere you could wish for!

For me it is super important to get inspiration from many parts of the world so a large part of my life has meant that I have traveled to many countries to visit, work at fairs and compete from, for example, Peru, Italy, Belgium, USA, Canada, Spain, Germany, Holland, Norway, Finland to magical Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Can't remember all the countries at the time of writing but I love traveling in my profession and it has been a big part and inspiration!

My style is said to have many different things, but I love strong black patterns and colorful tattoos. When it comes to cartoon motifs, there almost has to be a crude humor in or behind the image. I have a hard time making cute Disney characters and motifs as they also tend to look quite crazy on paper. That's why I like to make my own caricatures, otherwise I love most things even if it becomes my own style and everything I tattoo is something I drew myself.

I started using Ratio needles relatively recently after getting to try them on Mattias' recommendation. I got some sample needles and I think they are fantastic! They feel luxurious, precise and it is incredibly comfortable with the Soft Grip. I find that the machine runs even quieter with these needles, with less "flutter" and the fat magnum needles are really great!
