Louise Amott

I first got interested in tattooing when I was 13 years old. I passed a tattoo studio on my way home from school every day and thought “that’s my dream job”. I was so fascinated by being able to express myself artistically through tattooing. I got into the industry when I was 18. I studied restaurant management while also being an apprentice in a tattoo studio in Halmstad. I had to choose which direction I wanted to take as both professions are of course challenging. I definitely did the right thing, I still feel that today.

I've always had a hard time describing exactly what my style is, but I've always wanted to combine dark and beautiful in one. I prefer to use blackwork motifs influenced by gothic shapes.

I have been using Ratio for about six months now and I am definitely pleasantly surprised by the quality of the needles. The configurations I use most often are the very sharp and thin needles so I think Ratio has really managed to create incredible performance and durability during the tattoo. I mostly use needle groups like 03/0.25 (Both for shading and lines) and also 09/35 to pack smaller areas. For outlines my personal favorite is 11 or 14/0.35.
