Senju started tattooing in 1991, under his Swedish birth name Matti. In the year 2000, he decided to fully dedicate his time and energy exploring and mastering the traditional Japanese tattoo - Irezumi. He now adopted the title Horimatsu, and began a journey of constant and ever deepening studies of Japanese culture, history and religion. After 25 years of dedication, he has come to the realisation that the more he knows and understand, the more there is to learn. It is truly a journey of a lifetime.
